The NASCAR Xfinity Series will race at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for the third time with Saturday’s Nationwide Children’s Hospital 200.
Here are the particulars (all times are ET):
START: Nationwide Children’s Hospital Patient Champions will give the command for drivers to start their engines at 3:33 p.m. ET. The green flag is scheduled for 3:44 p.m.
DISTANCE: The race is scheduled for 75 laps (169.35 miles) around the 2.258-mile road course.
PRERACE SCHEDULE: The Xfinity garage opens at 6:30 a.m., and qualifying will be held at 11:15 p.m. The drivers meeting is at 12:30 p.m. Driver introductions will be at 2:55 p.m.
NATIONAL ANTHEM: It will be performed by the Columbus Children’s Choir at 3:26 p.m.
TV/RADIO: NBCSN will broadcast the race (and streaming available at http://stream.nbcsports.com/liveextra), starting with a prerace show at 3 p.m. Motor Racing Network will broadcast the race on radio and at MRN.com. SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will carry the radio broadcast.
FORECAST: The wunderground.com site predicts 82 degrees at race time with a 47% chance of rain.
LAST TIME: Chris Buescher led the final 25 laps to score his first career series win a year ago. Regan Smith finished second with Brian Scott, who led a race-high 39 laps, placing third.
