Unless you’re a Portland State University superfan, there’s a good chance you missed the best soccer goal of the weekend.
It came off the foot of PSU player Breanne Chilton-Eddy, who sniped an awesome long shot into the top corner of the net from about 20 yards out. The sick strike was delivered in sudden death overtime and gave PSU a 2-1 comeback win over Weber State, so it was as clutch as it was skillful.
I will say, however, that this goal could have really used a more frenzied, Spanish-language ‘golazo’ call that was drawn out for about a minute and a half. We deserve that.
