CHICAGO – Baseball fortunes reversed a bit during a warm weekend in Chicago.
The Cubs, who’ve been in the Wild Card race the entire season, struggled against the last place Phillies and were swept out of Wrigley Field. To make matters worse, Cole Hamels became the first in 50 years to no hit the Cubs on Saturday.
Meanwhile the White Sox looked like the team everyone expected to compete during their four days in Cleveland. With strong pitching and ample hitting they brought out the brooms at Progressive Field and swept the Indians out of their own ballpark.
