Conservative Student Assaulted on UC Berkeley Campus, Told He Is "Encouraging Violence" – RealClearPolitics

A conservative student identified as Hayden Williams was attacked on the campus of UC Berkeley today after he was confronted by several people for his political activism. One assailant punched Williams in the face and is currently being sought by the police.

“Another conservative student was assaulted on @UCBerkeley’s campus. I just spoke to the survivor of the attack who is a dear friend of mine. He is in good spirits and plans on continuing to fight for conservative values on campus once his black eye is gone! What a bad a**!” Brad Devlin, the former president of the Berkeley College Republicans, tweeted Thursday.

“Can you explain what you’re f*cking doing?” an angry man asked the student prior to the altercation.

“You’re encouraging violence,” this man said.

Soon afterward a man clad in black started to harass Williams and eventually struck him in the face.

“You wanna hit me? I’ll shoot your ass. F*ck you! F*ck you! Get the f*ck out of my face!” the man said before he laid the hit.

“F*cking c*nt,” the man said as he left the scene.

Devlin also shared video from the perspective of the victim.
