CHICAGO – In the State of Illinois, were truly on the outside looking in when it comes to the NCAA Men’s Basketball tournament.
While others around the nation take part in the madness, no team in the state was able to qualify as one of the 68 teams that got to take part in the Big Dance.
It’s a shame, because what a tournament it has been.
Upsets and buzzer-beaters have highlighted the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament while doing a number on brackets all across the country.
Dave Wischnowsky came on Sports Feed to discuss the tournament so far and some of struggles which the Illinois basketball program is enduring off the court as the season has come to an end.
He also talks with Josh Frydman about the program’s hiring of Lovie Smith as their football coach and the positive vibes it caused in Champaign and beyond.
