Dogs make everything better. Don’t listen to propaganda from cat people. Indian cricket fans learned this first hand when a brave Sports Dog wandered onto the field for an impromptu play date and got some of the biggest applause of the night.
The Sports Dog happened early in the Indian Premier League match between the Rising Pune Supergiants and Delhi Daredevils. Fans were settling in for the match when a rogue dog decided not only to run onto the field, but desperately wanted to play with the cricketers. A few of them obliged, but the poor Sports Dog wasn’t welcome. Officials quickly chased it from the oval, much to the chagrin of the pup and disappointment of fans and commentators alike.
Every single sport should have a clause that a Sports Dog encounter is allowed to happen without interruption. It hurts absolutely no one and makes everything better.
Pro tip: Watch the above video without sound. It’s almost like an entire stadium is there to witness a dog sports event.
