Manchester City will make a £40m bid for Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere, 23, if they fail to land 22-year-old Paul Pogba from Juventus for £70m.

Defender Kieran Trippier, 24, changed his Twitter profile to say “Professional Footballer For Tottenham Hotspur” less than an hour
after the club confirmed his signing from Burnley.
Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson, 25, has been given the backing of former Sunderland team-mate Darren Bent to appear on the cover of video game Fifa 16. The creators of the game are allowing the public to vote for four players who will join Barcelona forward Lionel Messi on the front cover.
