Judging by how many Ram special editions, exterior trim packages, and glitzy high-end models the company offers, Ram would have everybody believing that every auto show should be treated like SEMA. The truck company is carrying that spirit right into the Chicago auto show by showing two new looks for its pickups: the Heavy Duty Night editions and this, the Ram 1500 Copper Sport.

This is the first time Ram has offered Copper Pearl, the second special monochromatic color to join the 1500 lineup in the past year, following Ignition Orange. The Copper Sport comes with a body-color grille, a sport hood with twin hood scoops and black decals, and black Ram badges on the sides, grille, and tailgate as well as 22-inch polished aluminum wheels on rear-wheel-drive models or 20-inchers on four-wheel-drive versions.

The interior is themed to match the exterior, with anodized copper accents on the dash, door, and center stack, and copper-colored stitching. The deluxe bucket seats have Sport trim embroidery, including sport mesh inserts and a ram’s head on the headrest. A nine-speaker Alpine sound system with a subwoofer is also part of the package.

Buyers can order the Copper Sport, which will be limited to 3000 examples, strictly as a crew-cab model with a V-8. Pricing starts at $46,950, and the truck rolls into showrooms later this month.
