In a tweet, McCain called O’Reilly’s public comments about Ginsburg’s health “gross and ghoulish” and asked him to join her in praying for the liberal Supreme Court justice.
“There’s really nothing more gross and ghoulish than people in the media pontificating on a public persons health and the hypothetical political ramifications of their death,” McCain tweeted Friday afternoon.
“Join me in praying for RBG to have a speedy and healthy recovery – we are Christians, aren’t we Bill?” she added.

O’Reilly had tweeted earlier in the day that Ginsburg’s health was failing, and that another appointment to the Supreme Court under a Trump presidency was imminent. Ginsburg underwent a procedure Friday to remove two cancerous growths from her lungs.
“Justice Ginsburg is very ill. Another Justice appointment inevitable and soon. Bad news for the left,” he wrote.
