Motorola’s fitness-focused Moto 360 Sport will be available in January – The Verge

Motorola today announced that its Moto 360 Sport smartwatch will be available for purchase starting on January 7th in the US. It will be available in the UK and France a couple of weeks earlier, starting on December 18th. The $299 Moto 360 Sport is based on theĀ Moto 360 that was released earlier this year and adds built-in GPS, sweatproof construction, and more fitness tracking features.

The 360 Sport is also a full-featured Android Wear smartwatch, and can store music, so you can leave the phone behind for runs or workout sessions. The display on the Sport model is different than found on the standard 360. Motorola calls it an AnyLight display, and it is designed for better outdoor visibility. While the standard Moto 360 can be customized many different ways, the Sport model will only be available in black, white, or orange color options.

We will have more on the 360 Sport once we’ve had the chance to put it through its paces.
