The conference tournaments are over. Teams are sitting by in anticipation. After a long wait, Selection Sunday is finally here. This is the day the NCAA Tournament selection committee will hand down its field of 68 teams and a final bracket.
I hate to break it to you before it happens, but your favorite team will get a lower seed than it deserved. And your team’s first round matchup will, without question, be the worst possible matchup. You might even use the word “rigged” to describe it.
But this is March, after all. If your team is fortunate enough to land in the field of 68, then it’s just a cherry on top of the most wonderful time of year in college hoops.
