Paul Hayward leads triumphant night for Telegraph at Sports Journalism Awards – Telegraph.co.uk
Paul Hayward was crowned Sports Writer of the Year for the second year running as The Telegraph scooped four honours at the Sports Journalism Awards on Monday night.
The Telegraph’s Investigations Team won the Investigative Reporter category with its Football for Sale expose which led to the departure of England manager Sam Allardyce and the story was also highly commended in the Scoop of the Year award.
Oliver Brown was crowned Sports Feature Writer of the Year for his brilliant profile of Eddie Jones, revealing interview with Rory McIlroy and for tracing Usain Bolt’s roots in Jamaica. Hayward, The Telegraph’s Chief Sports Writer, was highly commended in this category.
