Polo film Sport of Kings to offer multifaceted side to a compelling sport – Telegraph.co.uk
Producers have followed the seasons in Argentina, polo’s mecca, America, the UK and Spain – which made up a calendar year of non-stop filming – with the film’s backers believing the US to be a particularly key region, given the sport’s soaring profile and a pivotal market to distribute the documentary series.
Jason Phillips, of Heritage Development & Productions, said that Sport of Kings will offer a multifaceted portrait of the sport, with the polished product consisting of a 10-part series split into two seasons.
“We have been given access to the very top tier of tournaments, people and players over the last year and will continue to add to our footage over the coming months,” Phillips told Telegraph Sport.
“The result will be a never been seen before look at the sport, done in a beautiful cinematic way that will have both fans and novices gripped.”
