Possible Walmart Gunman Arrested in Missouri With Weapons, 100 Rounds of Ammunition – 9&10 News

Walmart shoppers in Missouri are breathing a sigh of relief Friday morning after fearing another tragedy was about to happen.

Missouri police arrested a man who entered the store carrying weapons and 100 rounds of ammunition.

Police say a heavily armed man walked into the Walmart in Springfield but didn’t fire a single shot.

An armed, off-duty firefighter grabbed ahold of the man and police took him into custody.

Many witnesses say his actions could have stopped another deadly situation.

Missouri law allows people over the age of 19 to openly carry legally obtained firearms, but local police say his intent was peaceful.

Police are looking for a motive for his actions and there is no word yet on charges.
