‘Power 5’ conferences reach agreement on limiting time students spend on sports

From staff reports

Richmond Times-Dispatch

Commissioners of the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-12 and SEC have agreed in principle on new regulations designed to limit the amount of time college students can be required to participate in athletics.

The changes, which will be considered at the 2017 NCAA convention, are designed to guarantee students participating in NCAA-sanctioned athletics time away from their sport.
