Search Crews Find Missing 2-Year-Old Alive – 9&10 News
Search crews have found 2-year-old Gabriella Vitale.
She was reported missing Monday morning after the Oscoda County Sheriff’s Office say Gabriella wandered off from her parents’ campsite around 8 a.m. near M-33 and Reber Road in Comins Township.
She was with her family camping from Monroe this past week.
They were preparing to leave when they noticed she was gone.
Gabriella was found alive and well Tuesday morning around 11:30 a.m.
She was not wearing her shoes or pants; however, police say she was in good spirits.
She is being taken to the hospital to be checked but seems to be O.K.
Gabriella’s mother released the following statement: “We would like to express our thanks to God for keeping our sweet Gabriella safe. Thank you to the countless public safety officers, first responders, and those that helped locate our girl. We are forever grateful to the Fairview community, especially the local, state and DNR officers. Please continue to keep our family in your prayers as we hold Gabriella in our arms.”
