For this week’s power rankings, we start off by breaking down the top-five most thrilling games from the past week of the NBA season (Nov. 6 through Nov. 12). Then we rank all 30 teams at this point in the season.

1. Los Angeles Clippers 110, Oklahoma City Thunder 108 – Nov. 11

Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook missed a potential game-winning three-pointer in the closing seconds and the Clippers held on, advancing to a franchise-best 8-1 start.

2. Memphis Grizzlies 108, Denver Nuggets 107 – Nov. 8

With 0.7 seconds remaining and his team down by one, Grizzlies center Marc Gasol tipped in a perfect inbounds lob from teammate Vince Carter as time expired, lifting Memphis past Denver in a thrilling one-point victory.

3. Houston Rockets 101, San Antonio Spurs 99 – Nov. 9

Spurs stars Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge each missed potential game-tying layups in the final seconds and James Harden led the Rockets to victory with a 24-point, 15-assist, 12-rebound triple-double.

4. Chicago Bulls 98, Miami Heat 95 – Nov. 10

In his highly-anticipated return to Miami after spending all 13 of his NBA seasons with the Heat, Bulls guard Dwyane Wade made two key, final-minute free throws — while being showered with boos from his once-hometown crowd — to help Chicago hang on.

5. Portland Trail Blazers 124, Phoenix Suns 121 – Nov. 8

After Suns shooting guard Devin Booker hit a three-pointer with 4.6 seconds left to bring the game to within a point, Blazers point guard Damian Lillard knocked down two clutch free throws, his 37th and 38th points of the night, to get Portland the win.
