Weekend in Sports – Bloomberg
This first weekend of May this year overflows with major sporting events. The NBA and NHL playoffs are in full swing and the NFL draft begins Thursday. In baseball, the New York Yankees visit the Boston Red Sox for a three-game series beginning Friday night. Saturday brings the Kentucky Derby and, in Las Vegas, the “Fight of the Century” between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao.
According to a Harris Poll commissioned by Nielsen, 52 percent of U.S. adults say they plan to watch, listen to, or attend at least one of those events. None of those 126 million people will be able to attend everything. But with a private jet, about $50,000, and a little luck, a dedicated fan could have themselves the best sports weekend ever. Here’s the itinerary for a party of four.
