The financial reporting watchdog will investigate accountancy firm Grant Thornton for signing off on an arrangement between Sports Direct, majority-owned by Mike Ashley, and a delivery firm owned by his brother. A motorist was pulled over by police for driving with a sofa hanging out the boot. The driver was stopped in Long Stratton, Norfolk, after the two-seater leather sofa was spotted hanging precariously out of the back of the car.
