The Alpina Tracker wax less backcountry Nordic skis are perfect for a wide range of backcountry conditions and uses. The 64-53-62mm side cut gives a nice balance between wide backcountry skis and more general recreational touring skis allowing use on trails and light backcountry. At 64mm wide in the shovel will work in prepared tracks. These skis are sized shorter than traditional cross-country skis and are therefore easier to maneuver. With full length metal edges you'll have plenty of control in icy conditions. A fiberglass capped wood core construction provides the right amount of torsional rigidity and strength without making the skis too heavy. The positive wax less Solite base features a raised traction pattern that provides exceptional uphill traction. Alpina' s Solution sizing system: Skier weight up to 120 lbs. = 165cm skis, skier weight 120-145 lbs. = 175cm skis, skier weight 145-175 lbs. = 185cm skis, skier weight 175 lbs. and up = 195cm skis.
