If ITTF-approved competition tables seem pricey--and you aren't planning to have any Olympians over anytime soon--the Joola Quattro table makes a terrific alternative. A less expensive version of Joola's other tables, the Quattro has a thin top that still measures a respectable 19 mm, along with an all-metal frame and trundle system that's similar in design to the Duomat table. The major differences are that the wheels are less heavy duty, the metal bars are not as over-engineered, and the weight is much less--a slender 100 pounds per table half. It all adds up to a good balance of price point and performance, especially for the casual player that doesn't expect to host a national tournament. Best of all, the table is built to the same high-quality standards of workmanship as its high-priced brethren. Available only in blue, the Quattro weighs 216 pounds and includes a four-wheel support system for each half. A net set is also included.
