Unfortunately, the wood rotted and warped on its ocean journey, so he contacted a toy designer to improve the design with an all-metal, enclosed-spring pogo stick, and patented his design.To promote the toy, Hansburg was able to teach the famous Ziegfield's Follies how to pogo.
