Hybrid SL (Super Light) Shell Construction

Smith’s Hybrid Shell construction fuses their tough Bombshell ABS construction with flyweight In-Mold technology, to create a Hybrid Shell that optimizes the favorable traits of each material. The result is a modern design that provides a lightweight, low-profile helmet with an excellent fit. Hybrid Shell construction also creates a clean, smooth top surface by enabling the low profile Regulator to function with reduced mass and volume. Smith's Super Light(SL) engineered parts take this technology even further. Each SL item has been minimized to the extreme while maintaining durability and part integrity in order to reduce weight and increase comfort.

X-Static Performance Lining

X-Static is a silver coated textile fiber that enhances products with permanent and natural anti-odor, anti-static and thermo-dynamic properties.

ANTI-ODOR: X-Static provides the most powerful antimicrobial and odor elimination system available by using pure silver to inhibit the growth of odor-causing bacteria and fungi. X-Static is also the only product that binds with and neutralizes odor-causing ammonia and denatured proteins.
