Also, for the touring skier looking for a tighter boot to ski attachment with increased ski control, the Performance Skate's manual connection is simple and precise. With the included NIS tool the binding can be easily moved fore and aft on the ski to match ski flex, conditions, and terrain. Moving the binding forward generally will increase grip and control while moving it backward will increase glide and speed. This NIS (Nordic Integrated System) binding slides onto NIS plates mounted on many skis. Should your skis not have an NIS plate, one can be screwed to the ski for binding mounting.
